<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Palatino Linotype","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">In a morning assembly last term one of the senior girls, Sarah Phillips, gave a very moving account to the whole school of how her mother, Debbie, had recently died from cervical cancer.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Sarah described how, as there was no charitable fund to support research into the condition which affects so many women, her family decided to set up a charity to support research at University College, London.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This charity is the Debbie Fund.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Palatino Linotype","serif"; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">As I listened to her I wondered what I could do to contribute to the charity.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Well, you know me and you know what I do.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Obviously, I run a marathon.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I’ve qualified for and entered Boston, 2011 and I will be running in aid of the Debbie Fund.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Please help me by contributing to this vital research into women’s health.</span></p>
