Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.

Story

This is my 2nd London Marathon,  I said last year that I wouldn't do another but my motivation changed somewhat.  2 days before last years Marathon our beautiful baby twins were born unexpectedly, more than 3 months early!  Max and Ava were tiny and although Ava tried really hard, a day after coming into the world our precious daughter died.  Max spent the next 5 months in hospital and although he went through so much from ventilation to help him breath to neuro surgical operations, he is finally home with us.  There are many worries ahead such as the uncertainty of the effects of brain injury and  concerns relating to extreme prematurity, but with each day he gets even more cute and we are loving every moment we spend together.

My life with Max and the memory of Ava will be forever linked with the Marathon and therefore my motivation for running in aid of Bliss is massive.  Bliss were a great help to us and I would love to raise as much as possible so that they are able to continue their valuable work for parents such as us and more importantly beautiful little babies like Max & Ava.
