I am back! Recovered from breast cancer and feeling wonderfully supported by Cancerkin. So once again I am asking for your support. Cancerkin is holding its annual fundraising walk on Sunday 19 June in Hyde Park and if you wanted to sponsor me or donate you can do so here and can do so after 19 June.
I have loved the complementary therapies I have had, especially ‘no hands’ massage (which means that the therapist does it with her whole body!) which got rid of all my pains for a whole 24 hours.
One of the many lovely things about Cancerkin is that its therapies give you time for yourself in a warm friendly, totally non-hospital environment.
Recognising this Victoria has wanted to bring Cancerkin to East London so other women can benefit and where there is nothing similar available free of charge. The sessions have been very popular. I work a day a week at Cancerkin and I was very moved when I went to one of Cancerkin’s sessions in East London. One of the women who came wrote on her feedback: “For the first time I felt I was not alone”
Cancerkin helps breast cancer patients and those close to them. Treat the patient not just the cancer is our philosophy. We offer emotional support, information, education, complementary therapies, and a lymphoedema clinic. Cancerkin now serves patients referred from 38 hospitals, hospices and clinics across Greater London.
