Pretty much everyone will have known someone who has died of cancer, no matter what type, and it's important that the vital research into this disease continues.  So every penny that you sponsor me will help towards a good cause.

Prostate cancer is now more common in men than lung cancer.  On average, more than 1 man will die EVERY HOUR in the UK from prostate cancer.  That's over 10,000 per year of the 35,000 that are diagnosed.  Unfortunately, metastatic prostate cancer is one of those that we simply can do nothing about and that's why we need to do more research into it.  The pain of knowing that someone close to you has a disease which, although we know so much about, cannot be cured and that they are living on borrowed time is still fresh in my memory and something that I hope that no one has to go through.
