2010 Great North Swim · 4 September 2010 ·

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for The Treehouse Appeal, which aims to raise the £3 million needed to build and equip the new East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH) hospice for Suffolk & North Essex.

"The current children’s hospice in Ipswich, which serves life-threatened children and their families throughout Suffolk and North Essex, has become increasingly inadequate to meet local needs. Consequently, EACH is launching a major capital appeal and I am asking you to support them in any way you can: together we can bring this much needed care to children and families in our community." ~ Griff Rhys-Jones

If you are asking why a target of £1,609.34 - its the conversion from one mile to metres and it will go a long way to helping the much deserving hospice.
