Story

Hi all,

Firstly thanks for taking the time to visit our 'Just Giving' sponsorship page.

Recently, as many of you will know, a good friend and team mate of ours, Mark Taylor, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease.  For a more detailed example of Mark's story please follow the following link:

http://www.newsguardian.co.uk/latest-news/Footballer-Mark39s-fighting-spirit.6172288.jp

Unfortunately, there curruntly is no cure for this degenerative disease, however research continues to try and find a cure.  At the forefront of research is the Motor Neurone Disease Association (http://www.mndassociation.org) who continue to develop research into the disease.  However, in order to continue its research money is required to fund several projects.

In order to help the MNDA continue its excellent work, myself and several other Whitley Bay FC players have decided to complete the 2010 BUPA Great North Run.  I would like to invite you to sponsor us (no matter how big or small) in our attempt to raise as much money as possible for this outstanding cause that is close to many of our hearts.

Thanks and best wishes,

Phill Bell (Whitley Bay FC)
