So we did it, 11 men and women soaked through to the skin in horrendous rain, we won our first heat with a power surge in the last 50m and then repeated the win in our second heat. In the third and final heat we were up against the men mountains of The Flying Rockets and whilst Pip, Katie, Sue & The 2 Samanthas weren't used to seeing such pathetic excuses for men, we didn't quite stay in touch when the action moved to the River - we did however slip through in second. Overall we didn't quite qualify for the Semi-Finals and relievedly made our bedraggled way home after various near naked clothes changes - thanks Ladies !

We were diabolically cheated in the Best Dressed Team though as the pictures obviously proved - ideas for next year are already being formulated.

We, with your help, supported PROSTAID in their battle against Prostate Cancer in the East Midlands and jointly have raised nearly £1500, not a bad trade for pneumonia and Weil's Disease - but ultimately very proud of us all.
