The Charity aims to alleviate the physical and mental distress of persons with cancer, of the partners and immediate family of persons with cancer and of persons recently bereaved through cancer. To be achieved through personal support, peer support, a range of complementary therapies, counselling, and an information service, etc.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I can't swim very well. I have no bike. I haven't run for years, so I have made the logical decision and signed up for a triathlon. No brainer!

Training Update:

I'm still rubbish at swimming, and I haven't got my bike back on the road yet.
24th June. Swam 50 metres non-stop, but still no bike!!

11th Aug. Back from a couple of weeks off training to allow shoulder injury to heal. Can swim 100m non-stop. Not good enough!! I'd give Lance a run for his money on the bike though.

31st Aug. Managed the swim in 10:44. The first time I've managed the distance and not a bad time!!! Maybe I'll be able to do this thing after all??

21st Sept. Completed my first ever Triathlon in a time of 1:14. My time for the swim was 9:56. I don't know where that time came from.
