For the Sixth time in a row I will be riding the Tour de Fireflies across the alps to raise money for leukaemia charity LEUKA.

This ride is incredibly tough both physically and mentally.  We climb about 90,000ft in total over 1000km, in 8 days from Geneva to Cannes, go up and over 20 or so mountains, and ride in the saddle 10-12 hrs a day! I have put on lycra a few too many times to prepare and it is not a pretty sight.

All the riders pay out of their own pockets for flights, food, accommodation - so importantly ALL of your donations go to LEUKA and towards helping people who are suffering with Leukaemia. LEUKA raises money to support life saving research into the causes and treatment of Leukaemia. To date this ride alone has raised over £800,000 and this year it is the aim to break the million mark.
