Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I shall be running a half marathon in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund in the Bulford/Tidworth area (Wiltshire) on Fri 1st August 08.  It's not something I've volunteered for, it's an Army thing and I've been told to do it - you know how it is...

However, it is a good idea and a very worthwhile cause which supports soldiers and ex-soldiers who have fallen on hard times.  They vary from people who suffer the results of horrific injuries fighting wars on behalf a the governmenet WE have voted for, to people who have been unable to get a job after a lifetime of soldiering.  It's not an easily transferable skill!

I know there must be a lot of charity fatigue, especially in the summer when many people are out running for various causes.  I am not asking you to dig deep - please just sponsor me an amount you won't miss, even if it's just the cost of a pint.  I'd rather they didn't list how much people have sponsored because it can be quite offputting to potential sponsors.  I'm sure you know what I mean.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Army Benevolent Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
