The MS Trust is a charity which works with and for the 85,000 people in the UK with MS. Our vision is to enable people with MS to live their lives to the full. We provide: information that is tailored to what people want to know, education for health professionals about what people with MS need, research into better management of MS, support for anyone affected by MS.

My personal message:

Hello, It really is me - Phil Upton from BBC WM doing a 320-mile bike ride!

We're making the journey to Paris from the Midlands between July 1st-4th.

Why MS Trust ? Well several reasons.. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease which affects the central nervous system. There are over 85,000 sufferes in the UK and THREE times more women are likely to have MS than men. Plus, you're not likely to be diagnosed until your in your twenties or thirties.

In my favourite TV show "The West Wing" President Josiah Bartlett, brilliantly played by Martin Sheen has a form of MS.. so I had to find out more.... and there's one other reason - my friend Russell asked me !
