Hi, thanks so much for coming to my London Marathon 2007 fundraising page. I've never run very far before so this is going to be a real challenge for me, but I'm well into training and I have even given up drinking beer specially!
I'm running to raise money for City Gateway (I work for) and we work with disadvantaged young people in Tower Hamlets, giving them hope and helping them realise their potential. I want to raise £5000 which is enough to fund 10 places on our Apprenticeship Scheme, and I'd absolutely love you to sponsor me.
So please give me as much as you can, because I'm going to be in a lot of pain, and you will also be really helping some young people to reach their ambitions. I really believe that given the chance everyone has the ability to succeed, and it's a real privilege for me to work with these young people and help them start to achieve their aspirations.
Giving money on this site is easy, fast and totally secure. And JustGiving also automatically collects Gift Aid, which will mulitply the amount you give - if you are a UK taxpayer the government will add an extra 28% in tax on top of whatever you donate, at no cost to you! This is great, and means that I will be able to raise even more money, and also saves me running around with sheets of paper, chasing people up for sponsorship!
