Yesterday I completed the Brathay Windermere Marathon in a personal best time of 3 hours 55 minutes 24 seconds, shaving 1 minute 21 seconds off my previous best from when I was 25 (now 37). Here I am at around the 21-mile mark.
A few people have been asking me whether I was running for charity. I wasn't, but feel that maybe I should! So, if you'd like to make a donation to the Brathay Hall Trust (the organisers of the event), then please do. The Brathay Hall Trust is a national educational charity founded over 60 years ago to support disadvantaged young people.
