Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dear All. It has been 4 years since I paddled across the English Channel for charity, so I felt that it was about time to take on another big challenge. So this year on the 2nd Sept I plan to cycle with Money Spinners from Paris to Pauillac, over 600 miles and 8 days in the saddle! No more 1 day challenges and being able to recover the next, this will take mental and physical strength to keep going.

We are raising money for Alzheimer's Society. I am no longer 20 :-( and feel immortal, instead the reality of old age keeps coming closer and closer . Alzheimer's will afflict one of us or someone we know as the fact is 1 in 5 people are affected by the disease. There is no cure. But support, understanding, research and fantastic carers and care homes go a long way to helping both the sufferer and the family and friends touched by the impact of this most cruel disease.

I am riding with my friend Annie who's father died last year of the disease, read her page and then think what your money could do to help people like her father and carers.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
