About our charity : Marie Curie Cancer Care Marie Curie Cancer Care
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. Your local Marie Curie Hospice actively promotes quality of life for people with cancer and provides support for their families. The services are completely free to patients. World class scientists at the Marie Curie Research Institute are investigating how cancer develops to find better ways of treating the disease in the future.

Our personal message:

Piers and Charles v's the Italian Alps!

On June 15th 2008 we will participate an alpine cycle race, known as the "Granfondo Campagnolo", in Italy which is designed for young athletes. It takes place in the alpine Dolomite region north of Venice and is almost 80 miles of big hills, with a vertical climb of over 6000 feet. If all goes well it will take 7+ hours non-stop.

With a combined age of 102,  and without the Italian alps available in Sussex to train in, the odds are against us managing this course. But complete it, we intend to do, with the inspiration of supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care pushing us along. Your support for our attempt will help the work of Marie Curie, which is legendary to anyone who has ever had knowledge of the effects of Cancer.
