Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

On the 13th April 2003 I shall be making my long awaited come back to the marathon scene following a long term injury, diagnosed as non-fatal laziness, at the Flora London Marathon. I, [NEWS FLASH*****"and a fellow fool "*****- late withdrawal - now loan competitor], shall be competing this year in a pink tutu, wings, wand and tiara, and in order to disguise my preference for wearing womens clothing I am running under the cover of a charity - THE ANTHONY NOLAN TRUST.

The Trust does incredible work in the fight aganist leukaemia, and maintains a register of potential bone marrow donors, as well as funding research into a cure. The Trust needs your money (tempted to insert Bob Geldof type rant!). If I can run 26 miles in a dress surely you can make a wee donation to aid the fight against a disease which need not be fatal! Maybe you could also give some consideration to joining the register! (www.anthonynolan.com)

Please do what you can to help out - all donations however small or large are gratefully received.

Thanks for coughing up and keep a look out for the Pink Tutu Team (THAT NOW BEING A TEAM OF ONE!!!!) on the 13th.

Regards,

Mike
