St Dunstan's - 100k Challenge · 11 June 2011 ·
Irwin Mitchell are proud to be a major sponsor of the St Dunstan's 100km challenge!
St. Dunstan's
St Dunstan's provides invaluable physical and emotional support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women who have lost their sight as a result of war, age, accident or illness.
Their services include providing rehabilitation, resolving housing issues, teaching new skills and much, much more.
With St Dunstan's help these ex-service men and women can regain their independence and discover life beyond blindness.
The Challenge
To show our support a courageous bunch of Irwin Mitchell volunteers have accepted the St Dunstan's 100km challenge.
The challenge is to walk the 100km distance from London to Brighton in 24 hours! On 11 June 2011 the team will be pushed to their limit as they walk together through the day and night towards the finish line.
For those of us in the team for whom going for a walk means a lap around the Trafford Centre, this is going to be a real test of endurance and mental resolve and your support may be the only motivation to get us through the day and night.
Please help us to support St Dunstan's and our blind heroes and give generously for those who have already given so much.
Just £500.00 could pay for a talking GPS device to help a blind person to orientate themselves.
