Pimlico Strollers CC was founded in 1989 and has ever since played a standard of cricket that continues to range from the sublime to the ridiculous ...but mostly the ridiculous. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we have a arranged a special commemorative match at North London CC on Sunday 28th June between the Strollers of the Nineties and the Strollers of the Noughties!
However, we thought we could do more than simply indulge in some ceremonial back-slapping and actually do something worthwhile to mark the occasion ...so we decided that we should try to raise some money for the Cystic Fibrosis Research Unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
The Strollers have a close connection with the Royal Brompton as, for several seasons in the past, a number of our players participated in the annual fundraising cricket match that took place to raise money towards the groundbreaking work that continues to go on at their Cystic Fibrosis unit.
