The Swavesey Pinball Weekend · 29 June 2012

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

In April 2006, the first East Anglian Pinball Meet was held in a small village on the outskirts of Cambridge, you can read a lot more about the friendliest little pinball show in the UK here:-

https://sites.google.com/site/swaveseypinball/home

Pinball fans from the UK Pinball Group came along to support the event and raise money for the Children's hospice at nearby Milton:- http://www.each.org.uk/ .

The show also supports the British Heart Foundation:- http://www.bhf.org.uk/ as, after the show had become a regular part of the pinball calendar one of it's popular supporters, Nigel Hill, died unexpectedly from a heart attack.

Organised by Mark Squires who lives nearby and is an avid pinball collector, restorer and repairer the show is now in it's sixth year as a regular event on the Pinball event calendar.

The show is held in the tap room of the White Horse Inn in the village of Swavesey, an award winning traditional village pub whose landlord, Will Wright is also a pinball fan. Every year there is a good mix of games for regular players to enjoy and to tempt those who may be new to pinball into finding out what pinball is all about.

The event has also become the home of the UK Cup competition, where all are welcome to enter and play for the UK Pinball Cup.

Please dig deep if you cannot make the day and donate to the British Hear Foundation here or the event's EACH companion page here:- http://www.justgiving.com/pinball1
