Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
The Cognac and Bergerac Challenge 2005 is Epilepsy Action's 1st cycle Challenge, but is a continuation of the annual challenges previously organised by Challenge Adventure Charities. The dates are 29 Sept - 3 October.
The challenge will involve our team of four, cycling, in relay more than 500 miles through France in three days. Starting at St Malo, the challenge will pass through the Loire Valley to Cholet, cycling on roads used by Lance Armstrong during his record breaking sixth victory in 'Le Tour 2004'.
From here, we will continue down the West Coast of France to Cognac, where we hope to pay a visit to one of their world-renowned distilleries.
The final leg of the challenge will take us into the edges of the Massif Central, past beautiful French countryside before finishing in the vineyards of the Bergerac region, home of some of France's best wine. The Pink and Blue Cycling Crew consists of 4 members of staff from Epilepsy Action, David Fisher, Paul Tranter, Richard Edgar and Simon Collister. We have all been training for the event over the past couple of months and now's the time when we ask you to put your hands in your pockets. Please give generously, your support is much appreciated. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
