Alpe D'Huez Challenge 2007 · 17 July 2007

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

This years cycle challenge will take us on a 520 mile route from Amiens in Northern France south east towards the Alps via Auxerre and Bourg-en-Bresse. Our final challenge will come after 510 miles with the ascent of Alpe D'Huez. Paul will be trying to beat the times set by the greats of Lance Armstrong and, Jan Ullrich and Marco Pantani (or he may run up it!!!))). Dave Gall is likely to be racing Paul, John will follow shortly behind and Dave will try to get up sometime that day, maybe they will pick him up off the ground on their way back down!!!

The three day challenge will see us riding in relay for up to 190 miles each day. Each day will get gradually hillier finishing with day three in the Alps where over the 150 miles we will climb over 25000ft and descend over 20000ft.

Please sponsor us generously, so that the pain that we will no doubt go through on the third day of the challenge will be more worthwhile

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor the Pink and Blue Cycle Crew now!

Many thanks for your support.
