I've created this JustGiving page to help raise funds into researching Breast Cancer for the UK charity - Cancer Research UK.

 

The popular online campaign "Pink for October" is about Web designers, developers, and website owners raising awareness of breast cancer throughout the month of October which is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

Raising awareness is a fantastic way to help the efforts of researchers throughout the UK and the rest of the World in fighting breast cancer. However, I can't help but feel that the awareness is beginning to reach its peak and almost everyone is aware. Now that we're aware of what breast cancer is, the results of it, and what people are doing to stop breast cancer we need to go that extra step further than just going "Pink for October" - We need to donate as much or as little as we can to allow the researchers to continue their fight with breast cancer, just like the victims are bravely fighting it too.

 

 

I've made a public pledge on my personal website to donate £5 a month over the next twelve months to Cancer Research UK through this page. I have debts and bills to pay, just like everyone else, but I'm willing to give up a McDonald's Sausage & Egg McMuffin in order to afford to donate £5 a month to this worthwhile cause. In the big picture, it isn't a lot of money, it's £60 over the course of a year, but it's something and I hope that this time next year I'll be able to pledge double the amount each month.
