Hello my name is Liz May and I am the founder of “Pink Pong”.  Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!!

 

Pink Pong was established in 2010 after a good friend of mine and fellow table tennis player was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 36.  As the initiative snowballed around the UK it became apparent quickly that Cancer in general has a massive impact on so many of our lives.

 

According to the British Market Research Bureau, 2013 2.4 million people participate in Table Tennis within the UK.   1 in 3 people according to Cancer Research are confronted with cancer in their lifetime.   Over 800,000 table tennis participants could be affected in their lifetime and more involved with through teammates, family and friends.

 

My objective for “Pink Pong” is to “Make a difference on and off the table” through (predominantly) table tennis events around the UK and eventually worldwide.  Raising money and awareness of All Cancers and in the process attracting new members to the world of table tennis.

 

BUT – If you can’t play Table Tennis, then why not do a sponsored silence, join in a golf event, run a marathon, climb a mountain or even jump out of a plane???  You too can use this page to help in the BIG fight against Cancer.
