Rhino Ark - Rhino Charge 2010 · 31 May 2010 ·

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu. These provide an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo as well as protecting vital upland watertables of Kenya

Story

Have you heard? The Rhino Charge is back and so are The Pinks in Charge!

Yes, it’s that time again! But before we tell you about this year, we would like to update you on what has happened in the last one year. The final fence post was set in October 2009 and the fence was commissioned on March 12th 2010 by H.E. Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Although the fence is complete, the work does not end there. We need to ensure that the area remains protected, so we need to ensure that there are adequate funds for the running costs otherwise all our efforts, and yours as sponsors, will have been in vain.

So, we write to you in the hope that you will support Car No. 18, the Pinks in Charge for the 2010 Rhino Charge. Please donate to our team again this year. Not only does the money go to a good cause, but we promise to make you proud.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor our team: Rhino Ark gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
