Our initial target was £202 - the yearly cost of preventing hunger, and providing an education, for 24 children - the same number that were in my daughter's primary school class. We've nearly tripled that so let's keep at it....

Mary's Meals feeds 600,000 children worldwide and helps ensure their education, giving them not only a nutritious daily meal but the chance of better future.
It costs just £10.70 a year, on average, to feed a child their local, staple diet.
The immediate and ripple effects of drawing children into school with a decent meal are profound - not just for the children but also for the surrounding community.

93% of funds raised are spent on the ground as overheads are kept low - just under 7% is needed for fundraising and running costs.
