Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know during the course of this year I have had something of a ‘re-build’ with the installation of a new right hip and 4 weeks ago a new left knee! I have the fantastic advances in medical technologies and surgeries to be grateful for, rescuing me from spending the rest of my life in pain and increasing immobility. In addition, next month a close friend is celebrating 10-year survival from ovarian cancer thanks to advances in medicine and to mark this is undertaking a fund raising walk for ovarian cancer research. Unfortunately I cannot participate in that event as it is taking place in North Carolina but I thought it would be good to try and do my own version of the event at the same time to do my bit for fund raising.
Thus on the 17 of September - at the same day and time - I will do my version of the walk! Given my limited walking ability right now, my goal is simple. I will walk out of my door armed only with my crutch and aim to complete a 3-mile circuit in less than 2 hours. Given that I can only do ½ mile in 25 minutes just now, I think this is a sufficient challenge to be deserving of sponsorship.
I’ll be raising funds for the Eve Appeal and Joint Action equally. Feel free to choose which one you want to support – or even go for both! The just giving pages are in the links below.

Thanks so much for considering this and if anyone fancies joining me please turn up at my house 3.00 pm on the 17 September.
