Our daughter, Philippa, was a gift. She came into our lives to leave us with something very special. Philippa died on 15 January 2008 from lung cancer (never having smoked and having led a very healthy lifestyle). She was only 37 years old and left behind her husband, Philip, and two beautiful children: Mackenzie aged 7 and Cameron aged 5.
Her father, Graham, supported by his wife, Alison, and as many of our family as we can get together, is walking the North Norfolk Coastal Path, approximately 40 miles, from 23 May 2009 in memory of Philippa and we intend to enjoy every step in her memory!Philippa was a very loving, gregarious and giving person. She touched many people's lives (evidenced by the fact that Philip received over 100 cards and letters upon her death) and would have been delighted to know that we are walking to raise funds for the Child Bereavement Charity (CBC).
Since Philippa’s death, we have learned that our situation is not unique, which is why we are supporting CBC. They do a fantastic job supporting children, parents and their families. Please make this Philippa’s Gift and give generously to help CBC continue its invaluable work.
