First the science…..Firewalking – a matter of physics I declare.
Heat is transmitted by conduction when two things touch, in this case the soles of the walker's feet that come in contact with the hot coals. Conduction happens when energetic molecules, the hot coals, that are vibrating collide with more sedate molecules, the soles of the feet, thereby transferring energy to them. But the ash in a firepit over the charcoal is a good insulator as is skin or flesh. The contact time between foot and “fire” is short so it’s dead safe!

But come on guys and gals, for a few quid you’ll leave me with no choice except to brave 800degrees (and that’s celsius) and certain spontaneous human combustion (well perhaps not spontaneous but you get the point)!
All monies go to a good cause, the government has to fork out some of its hard earned taxes if you tick the right box, immolation is a possible added freebie (all photgraphic rights reserved), and petrol is extra, on the night only (no supermarket tokens accepted, you cheapskates!!).
