Story

East Africa Oxfam Fundraiser Appeal
On Sunday 24th July 2011, Sheyi Olagunju and friends organised a party to help raise money for Oxfam’s East Africa Fundraiser Appeal. When given the opportunity to get involved by taking PR photos of the night I was eager to get involved. The challenge now is to turn photos into donations. At first I was going to sell the images through my website and donate the money to the cause, but firstly there is a small charge paid to my web host when I sell there, and more importantly on my site there is no way to add by Gift Aid which is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, which adds a valuable boost your kind contribution.
So this seemed like the best way to make sure the party lived on and raised as much money possible for Disasters Emergency Committee East Africa Crisis Appeal (Oxfam is a member of DEC, and this was the only registered charity I could find on JustGiving that was aimed specifically at the East Africa cause). If you like any of these images they are free for you to download, save, share, use on facebook - whatever you like. All I ask is that you make a small (or large!) donation here and help keep funds rolling in to help the 11 million people in desparate need right now; thank you.
