As you know, my sister Jo has been through a lot in recent years. She developed a tumour in her brain which caused both her and the family a great deal of pain, heartache and sadness.

Luckily, with treatment from her excellent doctors and hospitals, she is now on the mend!

Cancer is, unfortunately, a big part of many people's lives. It affects us and the people around us. To fight back against cancer, I asked Jo which charity she'd like me to donate to, and she picked Cancer Research UK, because, I quote "I wish there was a cure for cancer".

I wanted to do something which would be an obvious reminder to people that a little sacrifice - a sponsored shaving of your head, for instance - can be worth a lot to a charity. Not just financially, but emotionally as well.
