Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. On the 17th September 2011seven intrepid (and a bit bonkers!) explorers will set out in a mini bus full of chocolate to climb 3 peaks in 24 hours! We are doing our own 3 Peaks challenge to raise loads of cash for PKAVS Young Carers Project. We will scamper up Ben Nevis leg it down the motorway Stride up Scafell Pike, hot foot it across to wales and shimmy up Snowdon, climbing a whopping 3403 meters  in total all in only 24 hours ! Young Carers are wonderfully smashing people who care for a family member who has an illness or disability. Young Carers are young people aged under 18 who provide care and assistance or support to another family member. They carry out caring tasks and assume a level of responsibility which would usually be associated with an adult. PKAVS Young Carers project currently provided support and respite to 95 Young Carers in the Perth and Kinross area, offering opportunities for the young people to be CHILDREN FIRST AND CARERS SECOND! Last year the project was able to offer the Young Carers a change to try all sorts of activities including rock climbing, rafting, hill walking, art and drama workshops and a trip to Alton Towers! This year we want them to have the same opportunities and much more.
