Poem-A-Thon for the Poetry Society · 18 May 2019

Founded in 1909, The Poetry Society is the leading voice for poets and poetry in the UK. We champion poetry for all ages, developing generations of new writers through our magazine The Poetry Review, talent development schemes, commissions, and innovative work with schools and young people.

Story

Please sponsor me! I'm one of 60 poets performing at the non-stop 10 hour Poem-A-Thon at the Poetry Cafe, Covent Garden. The event runs from noon to 10pm on Saturday 18th May (I'm reading at 12.30) and details are at www.poetrysociety.org.uk/event/poemathon

The aim of the Poem-A-Thon is to raise funds for the Poetry Society's work and each of the 60 poets is hoping to get sponsorship from friends and family. Money raised will go towards the development and upkeep of the Poetry Society's premises in Covent Garden and support the Society's mission generally, advocating poetry through educational and talent development programmes.

Your support would be absolutely brilliant - thank you!
