Hi everyone!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please help support us for the 2009 London Sprint Triathlon.

Please dig deep and sponsor us online – all for a very worthy cause.

Sergeant Mark Trower, PC Sonny Mordin, PCSO Richard Powers and PCSO Chris Watts are competing in the 2009 London Triathlon on 1st August.  None of us have quite undertaken anything like this before but figured it would be a great experience and a brilliant way to get fit, healthy and raise money for the NSPCC – a charity that supports children and families, helping put a stop to cruelty to children.

So...what is actually involved in the sprint triathlon we hear you ask?

It all starts with a 750m open water swim, followed by a 20km cycle and finishes off with a 5km run – with no time for a sneaky rest in between ! None of us are athletes by any means, so it will demand a lot of effort from us  – however, with your support we are confident we can each successfully complete the triathlon and raise a generous amount of money for the NSPCC.

Any contributions however big or small will be greatly appreciated by both us and the NSPCC and will definitely help keep the four of us focussed until the event date, where we really will see how much our training has paid off!

Thank you,

Mark, Sonny, Richard and Chris

PS. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: NSPCC gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

**UPDATE** We are pleased to say all of us completed the traithlon in very respectable times and have raised an excellent amount of money for the NSPCC in the process! Thank you all once again for your support and donations - we couldn't have done it without you!
