Rotary aims to eradicate Polio from the world. Polio is now only endemic in 4 countries, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan and Nigeria. Your donation will pay for vacine for all the children in these counties.

On Sunday 7th June 2009 we are arranged for over 50 supporters to walk round the world represented by Hollingworth Lake Littleborough Rochdale Lancashire - 2 miles 300 yards.

However, the Polio Plus Project does not end there. We must continue to raise money which will be more than matched by the 555 Million US$ given by the Bill Gates Foundation.

All these funds will provide vaccine to immunise all the children in the remaining four countries where Polio is still endemic, , , and . Thereafter we believe that polio will be a disease of the past.
