Brendoncare’s mission is to care for older people with dignity and respect, providing care for life in care centres, and tackling social isolation through friendship and well-being clubs.

To support these guys I will be jumping out of a plane on 12th November 2011. Since going anywhere near a plane fills me with the fear of impending death this is something I would not undertake lightly!

The money I hope to raise will help to pay for transport, physiotherapy, over-bed tables, wheelchairs, orthopaedic chairs, weekly clubs and much more.

Please help me to to help these guys. Their philosophy below describes what they do far better than I can...

In the 21st Century it is the right of older people to expect:

  • to live secure in the knowledge that, even in the event of illness, they will never have to move from the comfort of their friends or familiar surroundings to receive the care they need
  • to enjoy life among kindred spirits in an atmosphere of kindness and understanding
  • to be cared for with dignity and respect by people who appreciate their need for privacy, individuality and freedom of choice
  • to control their lives as much as possible
