Story

As the adage goes, we have two hands; one for helping ourselves and one for helping others.

Tis the season for giving, and what better cause or gift could we give then by outstretching our hand in aid of the efforts of our armed forces who so selflessly serve to keep us safe, and to protect our freedom and our country.

Amanda Prowse, author of the epic novel "Poppy Day" redefines what it truly means to give. In her debut book Amanda exemplifies what it truly means to give. Poppy Day teaches us all what it means to truly give, to give of onself and ones heart, of ones being and even ones life. In addition, albeit a fictional tale its ability to resonate with all makes it a true comfort and constant companion to many, particularly those left behind while their loved ones go off to fight on the front lines. In addition, Amanda's personal connection as the wife of a serving solider has compelled her to an act of philanthropy traditionally unheard of, where all proceeds of the successful sale of "Poppy Day" go to the Royal British Legion and the Battle Back Centre.

Therefore, as the countdown to Christmas has begun, for those loyal patrons of Poppy Day, of the Royal British Legion, or those who simply understand the depths of true love and know what Amanda and Poppy Day mean when they ask us all "How far would you go for the one you love..." The answer is simple. There is nothing we wouldn't do. Therefore, any further donations to help the cause would be warmly welcome to show our love and appreciation to both an inspiring cause, and inspiring author.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
