Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Prince's Trust is a charity in the UK founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales, to help young people who have experienced difficulties in their lives, are unemployed, or are struggling at school to gain valuable life and career skills through exciting extracurricular programmes and educational training.
By donating to the Trust, we are continuing to provide more young people with the chance to receive ongoing mentor support and educational teaching; experience extracurricular opportunities they may not have been able to otherwise; and, most importantly, help them build their confidence and gain valuable skills for the future.
In November I had the opportunity to volunteer at one of their 'Get Hired' days, where I helped young people get opportunities in employment. I mentored them on interview skills and discussed career prospects with them. Seeing the passion and motivation of these young adults was inspiring and makes our fundraising extremely worthwhile.
As part of the 2019-2020 HP intern cohort, we have been set a target to raise £25,000 for this charity. I will be participating in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on 21st March, which will be a mental and physical challenge as I haven't done any hiking since my Gold D of E! In May, I will be participating in the Henley Tough Mudder, which will be an even bigger challenge as I battle my way through obstacles and mud!
