Tough Mudder 2013 - London South · 8 June 2013 to 9 June 2013 ·

The Childrens Arthritis Trust supports Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospital London to improve the care and treatment of children and young people with arthritis. Our goal is to strengthen the medical team by the provision of dedicated specialists in nursing and physiotherapy; and support staff to enable doctors to administer new and novel treatments to better manage the disease.

Story

Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking time to read our page...I would love if you could support our team in our quest to raise not only money but awareness of this debilitating disease that effects 12000 children under 16 in the UK …the disease manifests itself much the same as the adult version including swelling, sore or painful joints etc that require pain control / steroid injections into the joints but in my daughter Poppy’s case it also has effected her eyes which means constant use of eye drops and eye checks to try and control the development of glaucoma, All through her treatment she has been far braver then I would be …so to even it up a little.. I have decided to try and raise some money by entering the Tough Mudder event (with the help of my Friends :)  )   for a Charity that helps children just like her…....

Thanks Lee
