PARAS'10 · 18 May 2014

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

The PARAS'10 evolved over Christmas and now sees a few foolish friends risking life and limb at an advanced age.  At least it’s better than events like ‘Movember’ where you pay someone to do nothing, eh Chas?

The event is based on the selection test for the Paratroop Regiment.  I'm running 10 miles off road, up hill, down dale and across river all whilst backpacking 35 pounds.  This is equivalent in weight to a four year old child, and in money to what I spent on clothes last year.

Hope you can help myself and fellow Pirates raise £1,000.  The money’s not for me; it’s to help people who need it more than either of us.  Thanks for your support.
