Due to a lack of animal welfare legislation in Portugal, alot of the shelters display horrific standards and all state shelters operate a policy whereby any unclaimed animal is euthanized after seven days.

A small shelter has been set up by a lady in Portugal in order to rescue as many abandoned dogs as she can and find them new and loving forever homes.

She is doing a fantastic job, but needs your help in order to raise money for every day essentials for all the animals such as food and medical treatment. She relies solely on donations to look after the dogs.

She has recently been given planning permission to build an infirmary close to her home to house dogs who need round the clock treatment. This is fantastic news, and is greatly needed for the welfare of the dogs. But we need to raise a substantial amount to cover all costs such as tiles, piping, electricity cables, flooring, cement, fencing, dog houses, drains and a sewage system.

If you could spare even just a small amount for this amazing cause, it would be so gratefully recieved.
