The British Red Cross responds to emergencies in the UK such as floods and train crashes; trains people in first aid skills; helps vulnerable people to get over a personal crisis such as a spell in hospital; restores the family links of people separated by war and disaster; responds rapidly to disasters and conflicts around the world.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

On Monday July 11, 2005, I rode L'Etape du Tour, which is a cycle of one of the stages of this year's Tour de France. It was 180.5kms (110 miles) over some challenging ascents in the Pyrenees. I completed the course in 6hrs and 56 minutes, Silver Medal Standard. The actual race was Stage 16, held on Tuesday, July 19, 2005.

I am continuing to look to raise funds for the Red Cross in the Isle of Man, primarily, ensuring the Society on the island can continue to provide a high level of care with Hospital Transport Services, Medical Aid at Public Events, First Aid Training, Skin Camouflage, Therapeutic Care, Medical Loan Services and Fire Victim Support.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross - Isle of Man will receive your money faster. Red Cross in the Isle of Man is not entitled to Gift Aid, so please do not select the Gift Aid option when donating.

So please sponsor me now! Here's a link to the Isle of Man Newspaper Article written to publicise the event - http://www.iomonline.co.im/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=870&ArticleID=1004562 Many thanks for your support.
