My story
We are a team of 5 mad women from Poynton LC

Lesley Haresnape Carole Penny Sue Berry we wanted to do some thing a bit different to raise some money for a good cause, so here goes - we are going to launch ourselves from 22 metres above ground level and zip the entire length of a football pitch on a wire 150m long! at the first ever Marie Curie Cancer Care Zipwire Event at the City of Manchester Stadium - it promises to be an unforgettable experience. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. In addition to individual sponsors we are looking for a few willing local companies who would like to show there support.We plan to wear T-shirts that can be used to advertise your support- we thought £50 per side was a good place to start- (we will get them printed with your company name and logo) A unique advertising oportunity with the added bonus of helping such a great cause- please get in touch if you would like to be on our T shirts (we intend to get the companies/busnesses/organizations that support us mentioned in all the local papers :-) Please e mail me julie@scalemodels.co.uk So please sponsor us now! Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. It runs nine Marie Curie Hospices across the UK offering free specialist care for patients and support for families. The charity conducts palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people and also funds scientists who investigate the causes and treatments of cancer.
