Premiership Rugby · 21 November 2012

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s a time when people across the country get together and fundraise at home, school and work to support people living incredibly tough lives, and has raised over £1.3 billion to date.

Story

Premiership Rugby's teams and players are doing everything they can to raise vital funds for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2013.

Comic Relief works tirelessly to support some of the poorest and most disadvantage people in the UK and around the world striving towards a just world free from poverty.

The work Comic Relief funds in the UK includes the Premiership Rugby HITZ Programme which runs sessions in the heart of the toughest inner city areas, turning around the lives of young people at risk of anti-social behaviour and exclusion from school.  HITZ works to encourage them to remain in or re-enter education, undertake apprenticeships or vocational training and enter paid employment.

"I truly believe if it wasn't for the HITZ rugby project I would have been in either jail or dead."

Dan, 17 - HITZ Participant, Southwark
