Hey Everybody!

 

As most of you will know I recently spent 2 months in Tanzania volunteering for Forever Angels Baby Home and had the most amazing time of my life! As I have now returned, I want to raise as much money as possible for the Baby Home to be able to give the babies in their care the best possible start in life.

I know times are hard for many people at the moment but having been in Tanzania I can see how important donations to charities like Forever Angels really are and also how far they can go towards making a REAL difference. The Baby Home really does use 100% of its donations to care for the children and also to help their families so that one day they may be reunited.

The Baby Home couldn't survive without donations from volunteers and their families and friends and this is why I have chosen to run the Adidas 5km Women's Challenge in Hyde Park, London on 6th September. I am hoping to raise as much money as possible and will be teaming up with past volunteers to ensure we make a HUGE contribution to the running costs of the Baby Home.  Here are just some examples of what your money could be spent on:-

  • £10 a month would cover a child's medical expenses including childhood immunisations.
  • £18 a month would feed a child for one month.
  • £80 a month would pay a nurse's salary to care for the children.
  • £100 a month would cover the cost of total care for one child for a month

    Even a fiver would cover the costs of a tin of essential Baby Formula or the daily market shopping to ensure that all 50 children receive a healthy, hot meal each night and can go to bed happy and satisfied.

    SO...if you feel I am running for a worthwhile cause then please donate as much as you possibly can as most of you will know I am not a great athlete and so knowing I have raised LOADS of money will give me that push to finish the race!
