After having been out of training for 8 months, I have taken on the challenge of running the London Marathon. It is both a mental and physical challenge and all the support from you will be much appreciated – in form of encouragement and donations! I am raising money for 'Chinmaya Mission,' a cause very personal to me.

 

Chinmaya Mission is an international humanitarian, educational and spiritual organisation striving to help people attain happiness though it’s many projects. One project I have personally visited is Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development (CORD)- their rural development project.

 

CORD runs holistic programmes of self-upliftment for the rural and impoverished of India and has crossed countless social, economic, and political boundaries, resulting in exceptional service of over 600 villages in 2007 alone. CORD's Sidhbari Project alone has over 45,000 participating villagers and over 250,000 beneficiaries. CORD's vision is to harness human resources and enable the poor to transform their lives through programmes driven by themselves.

 

Your support is very much needed and will be truly recognised by both myself and by those people whose lives that your donation will make a difference to.

While the thought of running 26 miles is somewhat daunting, the potential to inspire and help is much greater. I hope you can help me on this journey to make a difference right now!
