Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are a group of Doctors, nurses, patients, family and friends, largely based at Probus Surgery in Cornwall, who are cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End in June 2010.  Our group is of mixed ability; some experienced cyclists and some who have hardly cycled at all until now, and are currently training hard for the End2End.  We hope that with mutual support and encouragement along the way we shall achieve our goal.

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to support the wonderful work of both Shelterbox and Cornwall Hospice Care.  Shelterbox, based at Helston, has recently increased even further its already widely recognised contribution to the vital lifesaving support to people hit by natural disaster.  The thousands of boxes delivered to Haiti has made, and continues to provide crucial support to those devastated by the disastrous earthquake.  This is the most recent example of how basic but vital equipment of tent, cooking utensils, blankets and tools costing only £490 per box, goes wherever the need arises at locations around the world - wherever people have been left with nothing following catastrophe.

Cornwall Hospice Care gives residential medical care to the terminally ill.  The Hospice at Penrice, St Austell is set in mature gardens in a quiet location near the sea.  It's staffed by dedicated people, caring and supporting those at the end of their life and their families.  It is entirely dependent upon financial support from the community.  They urgently need help to continue in their work, which is why all of us in the Team ask for contributions for the work of both of these terrific organisations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
