Professor of Haematology Martin Dyer and Ali Johnson, one of his patients wanted to raise money for the Ourspace Appeal, Children & Young People’s cancer unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.  They decided to both have a tattoo, designed by Ali at the same time at Swanny’s Tattooz in Loughborough.  On Friday 13 July after much debate & anxiety, not to mention the discomfort, the Toucan was tattooed on the top of Ali’s foot and on an area on the back of Martin’s body.

They both continue to raise money for this dedicated cancer unit as more funds are needed; but are delighted that the building work has already started.
