Story
Project Haiti
On 8 July 2011 a Mission International team visited the town of Ouanaminthe in the Republic of Haiti for the first time. During that visit we had raised enough money to allow us to rebuild the church in Ouanaminthe and to buy land for the future building of a small school.
In 2012 a team returned to Ouanaminthe with Mission International and saw first hand the transformation of the church building and renewed our friendships with the people in the town. We are in the advanced stages of planning for the team to travel out again in 2013 and we are keen to get the building of the school underway as soon as possible, but we cannot do it without the generous help of people in Scotland being willing to donate for this really worthwhile cause.
Education is so important in the country of Haiti, not least because many children simply have no access to it but also because we can change the path of the lives of many children and give them a hope and a future to look forward to. In order to get the project off the ground we need to raise a further £10K over and above what has previously been given in other years.
On behalf of this years' team we would be delighted if you could help us raise this target and donate as much or as little as you want to this really great cause. We know that times here are tight but even a little money will make a huge difference to people's lives in one of the poorest countries on earth.
Thank you and God Bless
