Tamur River Nepal  -  9th to 24th Mach 2010 - Trek & Whitewater Raft IV/V

Having already cheated death in early 2007 after a major heart attack requiring a 5-way bypass, my father went on to continue his life with his usual full on zest and spirit. A strong man both mentally and pysically with great presence. He didn't suffer fools gladly but was always ready to listen and offer advice to those he cared about , it was given with his own personal touch....he told it like it was, whether you liked it or not.

He sadly passed away in November 2008, leaving a hugh void in the lives of his family and friends. Unfortunatly, it's only when you loose someone close, do you realise how precious and short our lives actually are. One of the many qualities my dad installed in both myself and others was that once you commit to something, ensure you give it your all. Unlike my team mate ,  "Eddie" (seriously fit)  the physical demands of this trip will test me to my limit. I will be posting updates on my progress at the gym - kettle bells here I come!
