The walk that will change lives – and one of them could well be yours! People with learning disabilities want to invite everybody to learn about their lives by sharing a bit of their journey. It will be a walk of wonderful discovery – come and join us.

‘Walk With Me’ is Prospects most ambitious awareness and fund raising event yet.  Prospects Director of Mission and Ministry, Tony Phelps-Jones, will walk 1,000 miles over ten separate weeks, leaving from central London on 4th March 2009 and visiting many parts of the UK before finishing back in London 10th October.

Tony says, “This walk is not just about me walking 1,000 miles, although that in itself will be a significant challenge. I’d like to see 1,000 people with learning disabilities walking at least a mile. We’d love you to come and walk on one of the routes too. Walk a mile, a day, or even the whole 100 miles one week.

I want to raise the profile of people with learning disabilities and change attitudes, give people the opportunity to speak out and be heard. There will be meetings and celebrations at the end of each day’s walk and we’re aiming to raise thousands of pounds for Causeway Prospects’ work."
